Clothes Collector provides free, regular collections of unwanted clothing and household items across Chorley. We collect directly from your doorstep and make sure everything is reused or resold instead of going to landfill.
Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare my items?
Pack your clothes in clean bags or boxes. Bin liners work perfectly. If you’re including other items such as books, DVDs or small electricals, please keep them in separate bags or boxes.
Where can I leave my items?
If you won’t be home, leave your items in a safe, weather-protected spot. We’ll collect them without disturbing you. If you have asked us to knock, we will.
Do I need to be home when you collect?
No, you don’t need to be home. Just let us know when you make a booking, we’ll handle the rest.
I live in a flat / apartment, is this ok?
Yes. that’s fine. If you won’t be home you can leave in a communal area, alternatively we will buzz/knock on your flat.
Do you accept other items other than clothes?
Yes, we also collect good condition books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, toys and small working electrical items. Please pack these separately from your clothes.

Will I recieve a collection confirmation?
Yes, you will get an email straight after booking. We’ll also send a reminder with your collection window the evening before or on the morning of your pickup.
Can you collect furniture such as sofas?
Unfortunately not.
Do you collect on weekends?
Weekend slots are available occasionally. If one is open in your area, it will show at booking.
Are you a charity collection service?
No. We are a private collection service. We operate locally and arrange for collected items to be reused or resold where appropriate. We do not operate as a charity.
How can I make changes to my booking?
If you need to make changes or cancel your booking please contact us by clicking here or reply to your collection confirmation email.
What areas do you collect from?
We are a clothing collection service covering most of Chorley and the surrounding areas. When you make a booking online you will be asked to enter your postcode, if we cover your area you will be able to make a booking.
I have a large collection to make, can you help?
If you have more than 20 bags, please contact us with further details and photos if possible. We will then be able to plan.
